The Kia XCeed is a crossover SUV based on the 3rd generation Ceed hatchback. The second generation of the Ceed was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012 followed by the third generation in 2018, again at the Geneva Motor Show, followed by a facelifted that launched in 2021.
Specifications and versions
The cheapest engine in the XCeed range is the 118bhp 1.0 T-GDi turbocharged giving you 11.1sec 0-60mph, or for a bit more power, go for the 158bhp 1.5 T-GDi. There is also the 1.6-litre PHEV plug-in hybrid. When the petrol engine and electric motor work together the performance is similar to the 1.0 T-GDI, and its all-electric range provides 29.8 miles.
Performance and drive
The Kia XCeed has a good turning circle, light steering, decent forward visibility and standard reversing camera make it easy to drive in town. It feels solid and planted on the motorway, where you can take advantage of the cruise control, and there is little wind noise. Lane-keeping assistance also comes as standard, alongside automatic emergency braking.
Interior
Kia has a good reputation for producing quality interiors.
