The Seat León is a hatchback compact car built by the Spanish car manufacturer SEAT in October 1998. The more powerful TSI unit is available exclusively with a DSG automatic, whereas the TDI can be mated to SEAT’s six-speed manual.
SEAT Leon eHybrid, pairs a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a battery and electric motor for a total output of 201bhp and 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds, with up to 235.4mpg and CO2 emissions of 27g/km fuel economy.
Performance and drive
The Leon is a comfortable drive. All versions have light steering, which makes them good for driving in the city, they are quiet and smooth on the motorway and even the sportier FR models with slightly stiffer suspension are comfortable even over potholes.
Interior
The Seat Leon is a good all-rounder, with lots of inside space and plenty of kits. Standard equipment for the entry-level Leon SE includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry and a pair of electrically operated, heated door mirrors. Inside, there’s an eight-inch infotainment system, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and a pair of USB ports.
